Deep-tech venture: Internship in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics

About Us:

This Deep-Tech venture is a spin-off from TNO in collaboration with HighTechXL. We are
developing printing equipment, using laser-based technology that has been researched at Holst
Centre for 10+ years.
We’re driven by innovation, and we’re on the lookout for a Software Engineer who shares our passion
for working in a dynamic startup environment. If you’re a versatile, proactive, and technically skilled
individual who enjoys a broad range of tasks and takes ownership of their work, you might be the
perfect fit for our team.
This exciting and rapidly evolving LIFT technology has significant potential to revolutionize industries
such as electronics, biotechnology, and microfabrication.

Are you ready to take on a challenging and dynamic internship experience? We have an exciting
opportunity tailored for individuals eager to make a real impact. Join us and contribute to the
advancement of our critical modules through innovative concept generation, mechanical numerical
simulations, and practical testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Concept Generation: Engage in creative thinking to generate concepts aimed at enhancing the
performance of our critical modules.
Mechanical Numerical Simulations: Utilize your expertise in mechanical Finite Element Method
(FEM) simulations to predict outcomes and assess the feasibility of proposed concepts.
Test Set-Up Measurement: Hands-on involvement in measuring and evaluating concepts on our test
set-up, providing valuable insights into their real-world performance.
Optional Tasks: Explore the opportunity to upgrade the existing test set-up with new concepts for
improved functionality. Contribute to the optimization of processes by defining algorithms tailored to
enhance efficiency.

Your Profile:

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
• Strong background in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical FEM simulations, combining theoretical knowledge
with practical application.
• Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
• Proactive and adaptable team player.
